Six Picks

For my launch of Six Picks, I’ve chosen some items that I found during the month of August that I wanted to highlight- enjoy!

Crate & Barrels’ Venezia Olive Green Glass Taper Candle Holders

I’ve been putting together a lot of console tables lately and having items of various heights on these tables help to complete the look. I came across the Olive Candle Holders and was immediately drawn to their color and unique shape. Olive green is a welcoming color to have in your home and the detailing on the holders.

Le Creuset Apple Pie Dish

Many of you know that I love to bake pies, especially during the fall and winter. Anything from cranberry-apple to chickpea pot pie is being made at least once a week. Since I’m making them so often, I like to make it a little more interesting by embossing some patterns in the crust or changing the shape of the pie. When I came across this Le Creuset Apple Pie Dish I knew I had to have it. It’s perfect for holidays and makes a nice gift for the baker in your life.

Kravet Ronald Redding Wall Covering

I was recently searching for some botanical wall coverings and came across this pattern that I haven’t stopped thinking about. Blue is one of my favorite colors to work with and I love how the designer brought together this navy and a sort of muted sea blue together to form these berry leaves. This wall covering would work well in a powder room.

Corn Zipper with Desilker Brush

My family grills a lot during the summer and one of the sides is always corn on the cob. I love grabbing some from the farmers market nearby but I don’t love eating it off the cob. I seem to always get corn stuck in my teeth and halfway through my meal I’m running to get floss. I’ve tried to shave it off with a knife before but always wind up cutting myself! When I saw this corn zipper on the Williams Sonoma site I immediately bought one for me and 2 more for family members. This might sound dramatic but this is by far one of the best cooking inventions I have come across! The desilker makes prep a lot easier and the corn is much more enjoyable to eat for me and my family.

Visual Comfort Agnes Small Pendant

Having the correct lighting in a home is extremely important so when purchasing lighting I normally stick to companies that specialize in lighting. One of those companies if Visual Comfort. Visual Comfort recently came out with their Agnes line and I’m loving it. The style will work well in contemporary homes and it comes in a variety of sizes to easily accommodate your space. Today, I’m focusing on the Agnes Small Pendant because I’m showing it to one of my clients as an option to put above their kitchen peninsula. It’s offered in Silver Leaf, Gild, Matte Black, and Plaster White finishes.

Kraus Roll-Up Dish Drying Racks

I love working with Kraus products because they make plumbing items that are not only high quality but they are designed to help your day to day tasks in your kitchen and bathroom easier. I also like working with them in Massachusetts because almost all their models have a Massachusetts plumbing approval code. A fact some of you living in Massachusetts might not know if that when you’re doing a new build or remodel and a permit is pulled all plumbing products installed in your home have to have a Massachusetts plumbing approval code to pass inspection. I purchased a Kraus sink for my “Class in the Kitchen” client and came across these Roll-Up Dish Drying Racks which I’m obsessed with not only for drying dishes but for washing fruits and vegetables!
